The ARP 152-6002 is a complete connecting rod bolt kit manufactured from high-performance 8740 chrome moly steel. Designed to replace the weakest link in any connecting rod assembly, these precision-engineered fasteners deliver the reliability and strength that professional engine builders and racers demand.

Superior Manufacturing Process:

  • Forged in-house at ARP using premium quality materials
  • Heat-treated using special vertical racks to ensure complete 360-degree penetration
  • Threads rolled after heat-treat to provide up to 10 times longer fatigue life
  • Precision CNC-machined to exacting specifications
  • Each bolt proudly stamped with the ARP name as assurance of quality

Wave-Loc Technology Benefits:

  • Wave-Loc surface contacts the rod and cap for optimal alignment and reduction of fluctuating stress
  • Provides secure interference fit (.001 to .005) for OEM connecting rods despite factory tolerance variations
  • Superior material grain flow compared to knurled bolts that create stress risers
  • Eliminates galling and scoring with smooth contact surfaces

8740 Chrome Moly Material: This proven alloy is a quench and temper steel delivering tensile strengths between 180,000 and 210,000 psi. With adequate fatigue properties for most racing applications and ARP's post-heat-treat thread rolling process, 8740 chrome moly provides excellent toughness and reliability for high-performance engines.

Important: Monitor bolt stretch regularly and replace any bolt that has permanently elongated by .0005 inch. This complete kit includes all necessary fasteners for your specific application.
