Product Details

The COMP Cams SK12-422-8 Xtreme Energy camshaft SK-Kit is a complete performance upgrade package designed specifically for Chevrolet small block engines. This hydraulic roller cam kit delivers 218/224 degrees of advertised duration, providing excellent mid-range power and torque gains with a moderate idle quality suitable for street/strip applications.

Complete SK-Kit Includes:

  • Xtreme Energy hydraulic roller camshaft with 218/224 duration
  • Matched hydraulic roller lifters engineered for optimal performance
  • Performance timing chain set for precise valve timing
  • COMP Cams assembly lube for proper break-in protection
  • Installation instructions and decals

The Xtreme Energy series is designed to maximize performance in street machines while maintaining good vacuum for power brakes and accessories. The hydraulic roller design provides the performance benefits of a roller cam with the simplicity and durability of hydraulic operation, requiring no valve lash adjustments. This kit provides everything needed for a professional camshaft installation except pushrods and valve springs, which should be selected based on your specific application.

Typical Applications: Street performance, mild street/strip, muscle car restoration upgrades, and performance truck builds requiring improved throttle response and power delivery.
