Product Details

The COMP Cams SK08-465-8 is a complete hydraulic roller camshaft kit designed for small block Chevy engines with OE roller cam provisions. This Xtreme Energy (Xfi) cam delivers 210 degrees of intake duration and 218 degrees of exhaust duration at .050" lift, providing an excellent balance of power and drivability for street and mild performance applications.

Complete SK-Kit Includes:

  • Hydraulic roller camshaft with aggressive Xfi lobe profiles
  • Hydraulic roller lifters designed for OE roller blocks
  • Timing chain set for precise cam timing
  • Assembly lube for proper break-in protection
  • Installation instructions and COMP Cams decals

This camshaft kit is engineered for 1987-up small block Chevy engines that came factory-equipped with roller camshafts. The Xtreme Energy profile provides improved throttle response, increased mid-range torque, and enhanced top-end horsepower compared to stock camshafts. The hydraulic roller design eliminates the need for adjustable valvetrain components while providing superior durability and performance.

Key Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 270°/278° (intake/exhaust)
  • Duration @ .050": 210°/218°
  • Valve Lift: .465"/.465" (with 1.5 rocker ratio)
  • Lobe Separation Angle: 110°
  • Recommended RPM Range: 1,500-5,500

This kit is ideal for street machines, tow vehicles, and daily drivers seeking improved performance without sacrificing reliability or requiring extensive valvetrain modifications. The complete kit provides everything needed for a straightforward camshaft upgrade.
