Product Details

The Spectra FG05F Premium Fuel Tank Sending Unit, also called a fuel sender or fuel gauge sending unit, replaces a worn or damaged sender so your dash gauge shows the correct amount of fuel in the tank. Spectra Premium builds its fuel tank sending units to meet or exceed the performance of the original equipment they replace.

Key Features:

  • Float connected to a variable resistor (rheostat) that reports the fuel level to the gauge
  • Dichromate-plated finish and palladium silver alloy rheostat for corrosion resistance and durability
  • Includes strainers for a clean fuel system after replacement
  • Tank-mount design

Typical reasons to replace a sending unit are damaged wiring, a damaged float or a worn rheostat. Any of these can make the fuel gauge read inaccurately.
