ARP 204-4102 Pro Series Head Stud Kit - 12-Point ARP2000

The ARP 204-4102 Pro Series head stud kit delivers professional-grade cylinder head clamping force for high-performance and racing applications. Featuring ARP2000 material rated at 200,000 psi tensile strength and 12-point heads for precise installation, this kit provides the reliability that top engine builders demand.

Premium Manufacturing Process:

• ARP2000 alloy heat-treated to 200,000 psi in vertical racks for complete heat penetration
• Centerless ground after heat-treat for exceptional concentricity and straightness
• Thread rolled after heat-treat for 10x better fatigue strength than pre-heat-treat threading
• 12-point head design with wide flange eliminates need for valve train removal during retorquing
• Undercut short studs equalize stretch for consistent clamping force and improved head gasket sealing

Key Benefits:

• Superior alignment during assembly—cylinder heads and gaskets glide into position
• More accurate and consistent torque loading compared to bolts
• Reduces twisting forces during installation for better clamping performance
• Includes hardened parallel-ground washers for even load distribution
• Accommodates larger diameter valve springs with reduced wrenching profile

Installation Notes:

Install studs finger-tight in relaxed mode—never crank them in using a jammed nut. Studs stretch only on the vertical axis when torquing the nut, providing more consistent clamping than bolts which experience both torsional and tensile forces. Always re-torque after initial engine run as head gaskets compress during break-in.

This kit represents the gold standard in cylinder head fastening systems, trusted by professional engine builders across all forms of motorsports.
