Product Details

The COMP Cams CL08-460-8 Magnum Hydraulic Roller Cam and Lifter Kit is engineered for aggressive street/strip performance in 1987-1998 Chevrolet Small Block 305-350 engines originally equipped with factory hydraulic roller camshafts. This performance camshaft features 244 degrees duration at .050 inch lift (intake and exhaust), 304 degrees advertised duration, 110-degree lobe separation, and delivers 0.600 inch valve lift on both intake and exhaust with factory rocker arms.

Key Features:

  • Hydraulic roller design with austempered ductile iron construction for durability
  • Operating RPM range of 3,000-6,500 for strong mid-range to high-end power
  • 3-bolt camshaft gear attachment compatible with OE roller blocks
  • Designed for serious street performance enthusiasts and competition drag racers
  • Easy on valve train parts, can be used with mild ratio rocker arms and traditional performance valve springs

Complete Kit Includes:

  • Magnum hydraulic roller camshaft (grind number 304HR)
  • Matched hydraulic roller lifters
  • Assembly lube for proper installation
  • COMP Cams decals and detailed installation instructions

Performance Recommendations: This aggressive cam is designed for street/strip applications with a very rough idle. Best results require a 3000+ RPM stall converter, 4.10 rear gears, aftermarket intake manifold, and headers. A minimum 9.5:1 compression ratio is highly recommended. Note: Upgraded valve springs are required (not included).

Application: Fits 1987-98 Chevrolet 305-350 carbureted engines with factory hydraulic roller cams (excludes LT1 and LT4 engines). CARB exempt for racing and off-road only vehicles.
