Product Details

The COMP Cams 01-417-8 XE Series hydraulic roller camshaft is specifically engineered for computer-controlled Chevrolet Big Block Gen VI engines. This performance camshaft features a 224/230 duration profile that delivers excellent mid-range torque and upper RPM horsepower while maintaining compatibility with electronic engine management systems.

Key Specifications:

Intake Duration: 224 degrees
Exhaust Duration: 230 degrees
Hydraulic roller lifter design for reduced friction and improved durability
Computer-controlled compatible for seamless integration with factory ECU
Designed specifically for Chevrolet Big Block Gen VI applications

Performance Benefits:

Aggressive idle quality with strong throttle response
Improved horsepower and torque across the powerband
Hydraulic roller design eliminates break-in procedures required with flat tappet cams
Maintains driveability while delivering noticeable performance gains

The XE series represents COMP Cams' most popular performance camshaft line, offering an ideal balance between street manners and performance for enthusiasts looking to upgrade their Big Block Chevy engine. This camshaft works well with stock or mildly modified engines and is compatible with factory valve springs in most applications, though verification is recommended.
