The COMP Cams Xtreme Energy CL20-231-4 is a complete camshaft and lifter kit designed for small block Chrysler 273-360 cubic inch engines. This solid flat tappet camshaft features aggressive 244/252 duration specs that deliver increased power and torque across the RPM range, making it ideal for street/strip performance applications.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Duration @ .050": 244°/252° intake/exhaust
  • Valve Lift: .518"/.524" intake/exhaust (with 1.5 rocker ratio)

The Xtreme Energy series is designed for enthusiasts seeking aggressive idle quality and strong mid-range to top-end power. This cam works best with aftermarket cylinder heads, performance intake manifolds, headers, and a minimum 9.5:1 compression ratio. A performance valve train with upgraded springs is required for solid flat tappet applications. The 110° LSA provides excellent power characteristics while maintaining reasonable vacuum for power brakes.

This kit is compatible with Chrysler small block LA-series engines including 273, 318, 340, and 360 cubic inch displacements. Professional installation and proper break-in procedure are strongly recommended to ensure camshaft longevity.
