Product Details

The Cometic C5912-045 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Ford Windsor V8 engines equipped with AFR cylinder heads. This precision gasket features a 4.155-inch bore diameter and .045-inch compressed thickness, providing excellent sealing and durability for high-performance and racing applications.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior clamping and sealing
  • 4.155-inch bore diameter accommodates stroker and overbored applications
  • .045-inch compressed thickness allows for precise compression ratio tuning
  • Designed specifically for use with AFR (Air Flow Research) cylinder heads
  • Embossed stainless steel layers with Viton rubber coating resist high temperatures and combustion pressures
  • Ideal for turbocharged, supercharged, and naturally aspirated high-performance builds

Cometic MLS gaskets are the professional's choice for engine builds requiring maximum reliability under extreme conditions. The multi-layer design allows the gasket to adapt to cylinder head and block movement during thermal expansion while maintaining optimal sealing at the combustion chamber, coolant passages, and oil galleries.
