Product Details

The Cometic C5459-051 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chrysler B and RB series V8 engines. This precision-manufactured gasket features a 4.250-inch bore diameter and a compressed thickness of .051 inches, providing reliable sealing for both stock and performance applications.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior durability and sealing performance
  • .051-inch compressed gasket thickness
  • 4.250-inch bore diameter designed for Chrysler B/RB V8 engines
  • Engineered to handle high cylinder pressures in performance builds
  • Conforms to irregular sealing surfaces better than conventional composite gaskets
  • Provides excellent resistance to blowout and combustion leaks

Cometic MLS gaskets are manufactured using multiple layers of stainless steel with advanced coating technology, making them ideal for engines with high compression ratios, forced induction, or aggressive tuning. The MLS design allows the gasket to recover and maintain seal integrity through repeated heat cycles, ensuring long-lasting performance in demanding applications.
