Product Details

The Cometic C5457-056 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chrysler LA V8 engines. This gasket features a 4.125-inch bore diameter and a compressed thickness of .056 inches, providing an excellent balance between sealing capability and compression ratio control.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
  • 4.125-inch bore diameter designed for Chrysler LA V8 applications
  • .056-inch compressed thickness for precise compression ratio tuning
  • Embossed stainless steel layers with viton rubber bead sealing
  • Handles extreme cylinder pressures in high-performance and boosted applications
  • Resists gas leakage, coolant seepage, and maintains clamp load better than conventional gaskets

Cometic MLS gaskets are the preferred choice for engine builders and performance enthusiasts due to their ability to withstand high combustion pressures while maintaining an exceptional seal. The multi-layer design allows the gasket to conform to minor imperfections in the deck surface while providing superior recovery characteristics during thermal cycling.
