Product Details

The Cometic C5456-070 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed specifically for Chrysler LA small-block V8 engines. Featuring a 4.180-inch bore diameter and a compressed thickness of .070 inches, this gasket provides superior sealing capability for both stock and modified engines.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for maximum durability and sealing performance
  • 4.180-inch bore diameter accommodates standard and slightly overbored Chrysler LA V8 engines
  • .070-inch compressed thickness allows for optimal compression ratio tuning
  • Embossed stainless steel layers with elastomeric coatings conform to imperfect sealing surfaces
  • Excellent resistance to extreme temperatures and combustion pressures
  • Designed to handle the demands of performance and racing applications

Cometic MLS head gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with unique embossments that create a superior seal around combustion chambers, coolant passages, and oil return holes. The advanced coating technology ensures reliable sealing even on less-than-perfect surfaces, making these gaskets ideal for engines with aftermarket cylinder heads, forced induction, or nitrous oxide systems.
