Product Details

The Cometic C5407-045 is a multi-layer steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 engines equipped with Brodix BD2000 cylinder heads. This precision-manufactured gasket features a .045" compressed thickness and accommodates a 4.160" bore diameter, making it ideal for performance builds requiring exact combustion sealing.

Key Features:

  • Multi-layer steel construction provides superior sealing and durability under high-performance conditions
  • .045" compressed thickness allows for precise compression ratio tuning
  • 4.160" bore diameter optimized for Brodix BD2000 cylinder heads
  • Designed specifically for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 applications
  • MLS design accommodates cylinder head movement and thermal expansion better than traditional composite gaskets
  • Ideal for street performance, racing, and high-boost forced induction applications

Cometic gaskets are manufactured using advanced materials and processes to ensure consistent quality and reliable performance. The MLS construction features multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings that conform to sealing surfaces while maintaining structural integrity under extreme cylinder pressures and temperatures.
