Cometic C5317-089 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket GM Gen III/IV Bore - LS1/LS2/LS3/LS6 4.130

The Cometic C5317-089 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for GM LS Gen III and Gen IV small block V8 engines, including LS1, LS2, LS3, and LS6 variants. This precision gasket features a 4.130-inch bore diameter and .089-inch compressed thickness, making it ideal for performance builds and engine rebuilds requiring superior sealing capabilities.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel construction provides maximum sealing strength and durability
• 4.130-inch bore diameter accommodates stock and slightly overbored LS applications
• .089-inch compressed thickness allows for precise compression ratio tuning
• Application-specific design for GM LS1, LS2, LS3, and LS6 engines
• Handles high cylinder pressures in performance and forced induction applications
• Superior temperature resistance and conformability compared to composite gaskets

Cometic's MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with proprietary coatings that ensure excellent rebound characteristics and resistance to blow-out. The advanced design accommodates block and head movement during thermal cycling while maintaining a reliable seal in demanding conditions.
