The Cometic C5317-080 is a premium Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for GM LS Gen III and Gen IV small block V8 engines, including LS1, LS2, LS3, and LS6 applications. This gasket features a 4.130-inch bore diameter and .080-inch compressed thickness, making it ideal for performance builds and engines with mild to moderate compression increases.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction provides superior sealing and durability under high cylinder pressures
• 4.130-inch bore diameter accommodates stock and slightly overbored LS engines
• .080-inch compressed thickness allows for custom compression ratio tuning
• Embossed stainless steel layers with FKM (fluoroelastomer) rubber coating resist combustion gases and coolant
• Designed to handle thermal expansion and contraction in performance applications
• Compatible with LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, and other Gen III/IV small block engines

Cometic MLS gaskets are a trusted choice for engine builders seeking maximum sealing reliability in street performance, racing, and forced induction applications. The multi-layer design allows the gasket to conform to minor surface imperfections while maintaining excellent torque retention and combustion sealing.
