Product Details

The Cometic C5913-040 is a Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Ford Windsor V8 engines with AFR cylinder heads. This precision-manufactured gasket features a 4.200-inch bore diameter and .040-inch compressed thickness, providing superior sealing and durability for high-performance applications.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for maximum strength and reliability
  • 4.200-inch bore diameter accommodates stroker and performance builds
  • .040-inch compressed thickness for optimal compression ratio tuning
  • Specifically designed for use with AFR aluminum cylinder heads
  • Superior sealing technology prevents combustion gas leakage and coolant contamination
  • Withstands extreme cylinder pressures in boosted and naturally aspirated applications

Cometic's MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with a Viton rubber coating, providing exceptional conformability to sealing surfaces while maintaining structural integrity under extreme temperatures and pressures. This gasket is ideal for street performance, racing, and forced induction Windsor V8 builds requiring precise head gasket thickness for compression control.
