The Prothane 13-509 is a left upper engine mount insert kit engineered for the Mitsubishi Eclipse V6. Designed to slip into the existing OEM motor mount housing, this polyurethane insert fills the voids built into the factory rubber mount, significantly reducing engine movement under hard acceleration, cornering, and shifting.

OEM motor mounts use rubber bushings with intentional voids to dampen noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). Over time, that rubber degrades when exposed to heat, oil, and road chemicals, allowing the engine to shift excessively under the hood. This excess movement robs power transfer efficiency and can affect drivetrain alignment. The Prothane 13-509 replaces the soft, worn rubber with precision-formed polyurethane inserts that hold the engine firmly in place.

Note: Filling the OEM mount voids with polyurethane will reduce NVH isolation compared to stock rubber. Some increase in cabin vibration is expected and is a normal characteristic of performance polyurethane motor mount inserts.
