Bilstein 24-186698 B8 5100 Ride Height Adjustable Front Suspension Shock Absorber

The Bilstein 24-186698 B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable) is a front monotube shock absorber engineered for trucks and SUVs equipped with OE front coilover-style suspension. Designed as a direct bolt-on replacement, this shock absorber eliminates the need for separate coil spring spacers or lift kits by integrating adjustable ride height functionality into a single, high-performance unit.

Adjustable Ride Height: Multiple snap-ring grooves machined into the shock body allow the spring perch to be repositioned, providing up to 2.75 inches of front lift using the factory OE springs (lift range varies by application). This makes it an ideal solution for correcting the factory nose-down rake common on many light trucks and SUVs.

Key Features:

• 46mm monotube design — single-tube gas-pressurized construction delivers consistent, fade-free damping performance on- and off-road
• Digressive piston valving — 46mm piston with self-adjusting deflective disc valve reacts instantly to changing road and terrain conditions
• Snap-ring grooved body — multiple adjustment positions allow 0–2.75 inches of front lift with OE springs (application dependent)
• Zinc-plated finish — corrosion-resistant exterior for long-term durability
• Direct-fit installation — uses factory mounting points; no modifications required
• Reuses OEM spring seat — spring seat not included; factory spring seat is repositioned to the desired snap-ring groove
• Non-adjustable damping — application-specific valving tuned at the factory for optimal performance
• Collapsed length: 15.37 in. | Extended length: 20.83 in. | Travel: 5.46 in.
• Country of origin: Germany

Backed by Bilstein's Lifetime Limited Warranty for the original purchaser, the B8 5100 Ride Height Adjustable shock absorber delivers a performance upgrade over stock while offering the convenience of integrated leveling — all in one direct-replacement package.
