The NGK 25693 oxygen sensor (also called an O2 sensor or air-fuel ratio sensor) is a direct-fit, OE-type replacement. It is made by NTK, NGK Spark Plugs' sensor brand. The sensor is part of the on-board diagnostic system. It gives the ECU constant closed-loop feedback so the engine can hold the right air-fuel ratio. It also helps the OBDII system flag fuel delivery problems or reduced catalytic converter efficiency.
