Product Details

The Tuff Country 75171 Dual Shock Kit is a rear suspension upgrade designed for GM trucks and SUVs from 1973 to 1987. This kit provides everything needed to run dual rear shock absorbers, dramatically improving ride stability, handling, and load-carrying performance — especially on lifted or heavily used trucks.

Dual shock setups are a popular modification for off-road and work trucks, as a second shock absorber per wheel helps control axle movement, reduce body roll, and minimize wheel hop under hard acceleration or rough terrain. Tuff Country engineers this kit to bolt directly onto compatible GM applications without requiring cutting or fabrication.

Key Features:

  • Designed for GM trucks and SUVs — 1973 through 1987 model years
  • Dual rear shock configuration for improved damping and ride control
  • Bolt-on installation — no cutting or welding required
  • Helps control axle movement and reduce wheel hop
  • Ideal for lifted trucks, towing, and off-road use
  • Manufactured by Tuff Country, a trusted name in suspension systems

Tuff Country has been producing suspension lift kits and components since 1981, with a reputation for quality engineering and direct-fit applications. The 75171 dual shock kit is a straightforward upgrade that significantly enhances the rear suspension performance of classic GM trucks.

I ordered Thule Aero Blade Load Bars as part of a bike rack for my Infiniti EX35. The part was order on Saturday, 04/14, and arrived at my doorstep on Tuesday, 04/17. And that was by FEDEX Ground shipping. Very very quick, and the right part to boot. Excellent service.
