Mars Motor Start Capacitor

The Mars Motor Start Capacitor line provides the extra starting torque that single-phase AC electric motors need to get up to speed. These round motor start capacitors (also called start capacitors or motor starting capacitors) are designed for the short-duration, intermittent use of motor starting. They are commonly used on compressors, pumps, and other split-phase and capacitor-start motor applications.

Key Features:

• Designed for capacitor-start motor applications
• Round case construction
• Rated in microfarads (MFD) and for 110/125 volt AC operation
• Intended for intermittent duty to deliver a brief boost of starting current
• Backed by Mars, a long-established name in HVAC/R and motor replacement components

Each capacitor in this line is rated by MFD range and voltage, so you can match the replacement to the original unit's specifications. Always use a capacitor with the same MFD range and voltage rating as the original, and discharge the capacitor safely before handling.
