Product Details

The Goodyear Belts & Hoses 55913 is a FEAD (front end accessory drive) automatic belt tensioner, also called a serpentine belt tensioner or drive belt tensioner. It keeps the accessory drive belt at the right tension as engine conditions change.

Key Features:

  • Automatic tensioning mechanism that continuously adjusts belt tension to maintain proper levels under varying operating conditions
  • Helps maintain belt drive efficiency and reduces belt slippage and noise
  • Dampens torsional vibrations to help extend belt life
  • Precision-made pulley for proper belt alignment
  • Built with durable materials and bearing technology designed to reduce wear, noise, and vibration
  • Engineered to match the specifications of the belt drive system it is designed for

A worn tensioner can cause belt slip, noise, and accessory wear. Replacing it helps restore belt drive performance. It supports accessories such as the alternator, power steering pump, and A/C compressor.
