Goodyear Belts & Hoses 55875 FEAD Automatic Belt Tensioner

The Goodyear Belts & Hoses 55875 FEAD automatic tensioner (also called a serpentine belt tensioner or automatic drive belt tensioner) helps support your engine's accessory belt drive. It keeps the belt at the right tension while the engine runs.

Key Features:

• Self-adjusting design that keeps belt tension steady across varying operating conditions
• Helps prevent belt slippage and reduces noise, so the accessory drive runs efficiently
• Dampens torsional vibrations to help extend belt life
• Precision-made pulley helps keep the belt aligned
• Built from durable materials, including steel, aluminum and high-strength polymers, to handle daily driving
• Sealed, low-friction bearing design helps reduce wear, noise and vibration

A worn tensioner can cause belt squeal, slippage and uneven belt wear. Replacing it restores proper tension to accessories such as the alternator, power steering pump and A/C compressor.
