Product Details

The Goodyear Belts & Hoses 55870 FEAD automatic tensioner (also called a serpentine belt tensioner or automatic drive belt tensioner) keeps the correct tension on the front-end accessory drive belt. Correct tension helps the belt drive run efficiently and supports accessories such as the alternator, power steering pump and A/C compressor.

Key Features:

  • Self-adjusting design that keeps belt tension steady across varying operating conditions
  • Helps reduce belt slippage, noise and vibration
  • Made with durable materials, including steel and aluminum housing components
  • Sealed, low-friction bearing technology to reduce wear and noise
  • Precision-made pulley for proper belt alignment
  • OE Performance grade, serpentine belt type

Part Interchange Numbers:

  • Volkswagen: 04E145299N
  • OEM: 04E145299P
  • Gates: 39380
  • Continental: 49854
