Product Details

The Goodyear Belts & Hoses 55207 Automatic Belt Tensioner is a serpentine belt tensioner (also called a drive belt tensioner or FEAD tensioner). It keeps the right tension on the accessory drive belt that powers the alternator, power steering pump and A/C compressor.

Key Features:

  • Automatic tensioning mechanism that continuously adjusts belt tension as operating conditions change
  • Precision-engineered to match the specifications of the belt drive system it was designed for
  • Built with durable materials such as steel, aluminum, high-strength polymers and advanced coatings
  • Sealed, low-friction bearing design that helps reduce wear, noise and vibration
  • Precision-made pulley for proper belt alignment
  • Dampens torsional vibrations to help extend belt life

Worn bearings, improper tension and misalignment reduce belt drive efficiency, especially in high-mileage engines. Replacing the tensioner helps restore smooth, quiet belt drive performance.

super easy

Great experience fast shipping and got what i ordered.

cheeper than anyone else

Easy read instructions, can't wait to install it.

Finding and applying the part was fairly easy. Not real crazy about the shipping insurance though. I think it protects you more than me. If it get lost in shipping, I cancel the charge. Most major credit cards have that built in.

The experience was good.

Got the part I needed pretty quick. Smooth transaction.
