Goodyear Belts & Hoses 55203 Automatic Belt Tensioner FEAD Drive Belt Tensioner

The Goodyear Belts & Hoses 55203 is an automatic belt tensioner (also called a serpentine belt tensioner or accessory drive belt tensioner) for an engine's front-end accessory drive (FEAD). It self-adjusts to keep the drive belt at the right tension as operating conditions change. This helps reduce belt slip and noise and keeps the alternator, water pump, and other accessories turning efficiently.

Key Features:

• Automatic tensioning mechanism that continuously adjusts belt tension as needed
• Helps maintain belt drive efficiency and dampens torsional vibrations, which extends belt life
• Precision-made pulley for proper belt alignment
• Built from durable materials such as steel, aluminum, and high-strength polymers to withstand daily driving
• Sealed bearing designs help reduce wear, noise, and vibration

High-mileage engines often lose belt drive efficiency from worn bearings, improper tension, and misalignment. Installing a new Goodyear tensioner restores belt drive performance and helps protect the belt and the accessories it drives.
