Mars Dual Run Capacitor

The Mars Dual Run Capacitor is a round motor run capacitor for HVAC and refrigeration equipment. It is also called a dual run capacitor, dual section capacitor or round AC capacitor. A single can holds two capacitors. One section supports the compressor and the other supports the condenser fan motor. This lets one part serve both motors in many air conditioner and heat pump condensing units.

Key Features:

• Dual-section design that supports a compressor and a fan motor from one capacitor
• Round can construction for common HVAC mounting brackets
• Helps motors start and run efficiently, which supports steady performance and reduces motor strain
• Terminal layout marked for common, fan and herm connections
• Made by Mars, a long-established supplier of HVAC/R replacement parts

Each capacitor is rated by microfarad (MFD) values for each section and by voltage. Match these ratings to the original capacitor when you replace one. Shut off power and discharge the capacitor before you service it. Use this line to replace a weak or failed capacitor in residential and light commercial cooling systems.
