Mars Dual Run Capacitor Oval

The Mars Dual Run Capacitor in an oval case is a motor run capacitor for HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Each unit combines two capacitors in one housing. It is commonly used to power both the compressor and the condenser fan motor in air conditioners and heat pumps. You may also see it called a dual run capacitor, oval run capacitor, or AC capacitor.

Key Features:

• Dual-section design with a single can for the compressor and fan motor circuits
• Oval case profile that fits standard oval capacitor mounting brackets
• Terminals for connecting the common, compressor and fan wiring
• Built to provide steady running torque and help motors start and run efficiently
• Mars is a well-known supplier of electrical and motor control components for the HVAC/R industry

A dual run capacitor that is failing can cause hard starting, humming, or poor cooling performance. Replacing it with a unit that has the correct specifications can help restore reliable operation of the system. Always disconnect power and safely discharge the capacitor before servicing.
