Asco Pilot-Operated Piston Valve Normally Closed

The Asco 8222 series pilot-operated piston valve is a normally closed solenoid valve. It controls the flow of fluids and gases in industrial and commercial piping systems. It is also called a pilot-operated solenoid valve or a normally closed piston valve. The valve stays closed until its solenoid is energized. It then opens to allow flow.

Key Features:

• Normally closed operation: The valve is closed when de-energized and opens when power is applied to the solenoid.
• Pilot-operated piston design: Line pressure assists in opening and closing the valve. This suits heavy-duty applications.
• Stainless steel piston: The 8222 series is described as a heavy-duty valve with a stainless steel piston for durability.
• NPT pipe connections: The series covers a range of NPT port sizes. Each variant has its own port configuration and operating specifications.
• Industrial build: Asco Power Technologies builds the valve for reliable, repeatable service in automated process systems.

Each valve in this product line has its own part number. Pressure ratings, coil voltage and media compatibility vary by part number.
