Metra Copper Uninsulated Ring Terminal

Metra Copper Uninsulated Ring Terminals, sold under the Install Bay installation hardware line, are bare copper ring terminals (also called ring lugs or crimp lugs). They connect heavy-gauge power, ground and battery cables to studs, bolts, battery posts, distribution blocks and chassis grounds. They are a common choice for car audio amplifier wiring and other 12-volt automotive electrical work.

Key Features:

• Copper construction for good electrical conductivity
• Uninsulated barrel allows direct inspection of the crimped connection
• Ring design fits around a stud or bolt for a secure, vibration-resistant mounting point
• Barrel sizes are matched to AWG cable gauges, and ring hole sizes are matched to common stud and bolt diameters
• Suitable for crimping, and can also be soldered

Choose the terminal with the barrel size that matches your wire gauge and the ring hole size that matches your mounting stud or bolt. Heat shrink tubing or electrical tape can be added after crimping to insulate the connection where needed.
