Rheem-Ruud Contactor 24V Coil

This Rheem-Ruud contactor with a 24V coil, also called an HVAC contactor or relay, switches line-voltage power to the compressor and outdoor fan motor in residential air conditioner and heat pump condensing units. A 24-volt control signal from the thermostat energizes the coil. The coil closes the contacts and starts the equipment. When the signal drops, the contacts open and the equipment shuts off.

Key Features:

• 24V AC coil that works with standard low-voltage thermostat control circuits
• Electrical contacts that handle line-voltage loads in outdoor condensing units
• Direct replacement for the matching Rheem-Ruud original equipment contactor
• Compact, enclosed design for mounting in the unit control panel
• Available in several pole and amperage configurations, so you can match your unit's original contactor

Contactors wear from repeated switching, which pits and burns the contacts over time. A worn contactor can cause hard starts, chattering, or a unit that won't start or won't shut off. Replacing it with a Rheem-Ruud contactor helps restore reliable operation. Choose the variant that matches the pole count and amperage of your existing contactor. Disconnect all power before servicing.
