Carrier Run Capacitor 440V Oval

The Carrier run capacitor is an oval-style motor run capacitor rated for 440V operation. It is designed for residential and light commercial HVAC equipment. Run capacitors like this one are also called dual-purpose motor capacitors or AC run capacitors. They help keep single-phase motors running efficiently by improving torque and power factor while the motor is running.

Key Features:

• Oval case design that suits the compact mounting space in many air conditioner and heat pump units
• 440V rating for use in common 240V-class HVAC systems
• Made for continuous-duty use on condenser fan motors and compressors that need a run capacitor
• Genuine Carrier replacement part for reliable fit and performance
• Terminal connections allow a straightforward swap for a failed capacitor

A weak or failed run capacitor can cause hard starting, humming, overheating, or a motor that won't run. Replacing it with a Carrier part helps restore normal operation and protects the motor. Always disconnect power and safely discharge the capacitor before servicing. Each variant in this line has its own capacitance rating, so choose the one that matches your original capacitor.
