Siemens Normally Closed Bronze Control Valve

The Siemens normally closed bronze control valve is a two-way globe-style water control valve from the Flowrite 599 Series. It is built for HVAC and building automation systems that need dependable flow control. It is also called a bronze globe valve or a two-way modulating valve. It works with a Flowrite pneumatic or electronic actuator.

Key Features:

• Normally closed action: The valve sits in the closed, zero-flow position. The actuator spring holds the stem there until the actuator drives it open.
• Bronze body: UNS CA 844 bronze, rated ANSI Class 250.
• Globe-style body: Single seat with metal-to-metal seating for throttling control.
• Stainless steel stem: ASTM A582 Type 303 stainless steel stem with a 3/4-inch (20 mm) stroke.
• Threaded connections: Internal NPT threaded ends for straightforward installation in piping.
• Actuator compatibility: Direct-coupled universal bonnet that works with Flowrite series pneumatic or electronic actuators.

Flowrite 599 Series valves are generally recommended for water, steam, and glycol solutions up to 50%. This makes them a good fit for chilled water, hot water, and other hydronic heating and cooling applications. Choose the valve flow capacity (Cv) to match the actual operating conditions. Proper sizing helps prevent cycling and protects the seat and plug.
