Nitro Gear & Axle Master Install Kit

The Nitro Gear & Axle Master Install Kit is a complete differential install kit (also called a master bearing and seal kit or ring and pinion install kit). It gives you the bearings, seals and setup hardware needed to install a new ring and pinion gear set or to rebuild a differential. Nitro Gear & Axle assembles each kit for a specific differential application, so you can set up the gears with everything in one box.

Key Features:

• Complete setup solution: Kits are built around pinion and carrier bearings with races, a pinion seal, a pinion nut and the shims used to set gear depth and preload.
• Quality bearings: Nitro Gear & Axle states that its assembled kits use Timken and Koyo bearings, as OEM manufacturers do. The goal is a differential that runs reliably and quietly.
• Setup supplies: Kits also include items such as a crush sleeve or preload shims, marking compound with a brush, and Loctite. Depending on the application, a cover gasket and ring gear bolts may be included too.
• Application-specific contents: Each kit is put together for a particular differential design. Contents vary by part number, so check the individual item listing for the exact parts included.

A master install kit is a good companion to a new ring and pinion set. It lets you replace the wear items at the same time as the gears, which helps give the differential a long service life.
