Design Engineering Dei Under Carpet Lite

Design Engineering DEI Under Carpet Lite (UC Lite) is a lightweight under carpet insulator. It works as a thermal and sound-deadening barrier for vehicle interiors. It can also serve as a carpet underlayment and jute replacement. It helps keep engine, exhaust and road heat out of the cabin. It also reduces noise, rattles and squeaks.

Key Features:

• Multi-layer polyester/fiberglass composite material for thermal and acoustic protection
• 1/2 inch thick, flexible and easy to cut and shape
• Insulates up to 85% of unwanted heat, which reduces heat transfer in summer and helps block cold air in winter
• Absorbs noise and works as a sound decoupler, and can be used over Boom Mat vibration-dampening material
• Lightweight, which suits high-performance applications
• Made in the U.S.A.

Where to Use:

• Floor pans and transmission tunnels
• Firewalls and behind back seats
• Trunk floors, inner fender wells and rear quarter panels
• Door liners, kick panels and under headliners

Installation: Fasten it mechanically to the area, or tack it in place with a Hi-Temp spray adhesive. Boom Mat Hi-Temp Spray Adhesive (#10492) works on both vertical and overhead surfaces.
