The Schneider Electric (Barber Colman) Pneumatic Globe Valve Assembly, Normally Closed, is a factory-assembled 2-way globe valve and pneumatic actuator package for HVAC control. It is also called a pneumatic valve-actuator assembly or spring-return pneumatic control valve. It modulates the flow of chilled water, hot water, glycol solutions and low-pressure steam in building heating and cooling systems.

Key Features:

• Normally closed, spring return: The spring-loaded actuator closes the valve (stem up closed) when air pressure is lost, so the valve fails to a closed position.
• Pneumatic actuator: A diaphragm actuator drives the valve stem in a linear motion. It responds to a pneumatic control signal and supports proportional or 2-position control.
• Bronze body with brass trim: The bronze valve body and brass plug give durable service in hydronic systems.
• Straightway 2-way globe design: The valve has threaded NPT connections and a modified equal percentage flow characteristic for stable control.
• Tight shutoff: The seat leakage ratings are ANSI Class IV or Class V, depending on the model.
• Air connection: The actuator uses a 1/8 in NPT air connection.
• Complete assembly: The valve body, linkage and actuator come matched together, which simplifies selection and installation.
