Reznor Averaging Temperature Sensor

The Reznor Averaging Temperature Sensor is an OEM replacement temperature sensor for Reznor commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. It is built for mixed air and cooling coil applications. It reads temperature across a wide section of the airstream instead of at a single point. The controller gets a representative average reading, not a localized hot or cold spot.

Key Features:

• Averaging design that reduces the effect of air stratification in ducts, plenums and mixed air sections
• Thermistor-based sensing element for consistent, repeatable temperature feedback
• Supports discharge air and mixed air temperature control, including cooling stages and economizer operation
• Genuine Reznor OEM replacement part, made to work with the resistance curve and controller expected by Reznor units
• Suited to duct-mounted and coil-mounted use in commercial and industrial air handling and makeup air systems

An accurate averaged temperature signal helps the system hold stable temperature control. It can also help avoid short cycling and poor cooling performance caused by faulty sensor data. Check the sensor periodically for dust, corrosion, moisture damage and loose wiring to keep readings reliable.
