Danfoss Thermal Expansion Valve

The Danfoss thermal expansion valve (TXV, also called a TEV or A/C expansion valve) meters liquid refrigerant into the evaporator of an HVAC or refrigeration system. By adjusting refrigerant flow to match the cooling load, it helps the evaporator work efficiently and helps protect the compressor from liquid floodback.

Key Features:

• Thermostatic design that modulates refrigerant flow in response to evaporator superheat
• Helps maintain stable superheat and consistent cooling performance across changing load conditions
• Brazed ODF (sweat) connections for a leak-resistant installation
• Built by Danfoss, a long-established manufacturer of refrigeration and air conditioning controls
• Available in multiple capacity and connection configurations to suit different system requirements

Select the variant that matches your system's refrigerant, capacity, and connection requirements. Proper sizing and correct installation of the sensing bulb are important for reliable operation.
