Forney Shank Mounted Flap Wheel Aluminum Oxide

Forney shank mounted flap wheels with aluminum oxide abrasive are designed for sanding, blending, deburring, and finishing metal surfaces. Overlapping abrasive flaps are mounted on a solid shank. This lets you chuck the wheel into a drill, die grinder, or other rotary tool for fast, controlled material removal and a consistent finish.

Key Features:

• Aluminum oxide abrasive: A durable, general-purpose mineral that works well on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals, as well as on wood.
• Flap wheel design: Layered abrasive flaps wear down gradually to expose fresh abrasive. This helps the wheel last longer and keeps the finish even.
• Shank mounted: The built-in shank fits standard chucks, so you don't need a separate arbor or mandrel.
• Conforming action: The flexible flaps follow contours, curves, and irregular surfaces better than rigid abrasive wheels.
• Multiple grits: Choose a coarser grit for faster stock removal or a finer grit for smoothing and finishing.

Common uses include weld blending, rust and paint removal, deburring, polishing, and surface preparation in fabrication shops, auto body and repair work, and home workshops. Forney is a trusted name in welding and metalworking supplies, and this line gives you a dependable abrasive for everyday finishing jobs.
