Carrier Definite Purpose Contactor

Carrier Definite Purpose Contactors are electrical switching devices used in HVAC/R equipment. They control power to loads such as compressors, condenser fan motors, and electric heating elements. This contactor line is also called an HVAC contactor or a definite purpose relay contactor. It is built for the frequent switching that air conditioning and heat pump systems require.

Key Features:

• Definite purpose design made for HVAC/R load switching
• Low-voltage coil that is energized by the thermostat or control board
• Contacts that switch line voltage to the connected load
• Available in different pole configurations, coil voltages, and amperage ratings across the line
• Genuine Carrier replacement part, so it matches the performance of original equipment

Replacing a worn or pitted contactor helps restore reliable system starting and operation. Installation should be done by a qualified HVAC technician, with power disconnected. Check the specifications of the individual part number before you select a replacement.
