Hankook iPike Studded Winter Tire

The Hankook iPike RW11 studded winter tire (also written i*Pike or Winter i*Pike) is a studdable snow tire. It is built for light trucks, SUVs and CUVs that have to cope with ice, packed snow and slush. The tires are pinned for studs. The added studs give extra bite on icy roads in areas where studs are permitted.

Key Features:

• Three Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certified for severe snow service.
• Studdable design with a six-row stud pin arrangement. The offset stud layout helps keep road noise down.
• Directional tread pattern improves traction, braking and stability on snow and wet roads.
• Winter tread compound stays flexible at low temperatures for steady grip.
• High-density siping and serrated sipes add biting edges for ice traction and limit block movement for better stability.
• Stepped circumferential grooves and open tread voids clear snow and water and use snow-on-snow traction.
• Reinforced construction uses twin steel belts with a nylon wrap for strength and durability. The shoulder blocks are rigid for handling.
• Mild off-road capability comes from an all-terrain-inspired tread with wide gaps between the blocks.

The iPike RW11 suits drivers who face severe winter weather. It gives dependable winter traction, and the studdable construction adds more grip on ice. Radial construction, a black sidewall and a directional tread are common to the line. Directional tires must be mounted to match the rotation arrow on the sidewall. Check local regulations on stud use before you install studs.
