Sumitomo Encounter All-Terrain Light Truck Tire

The Sumitomo Encounter AT2 is an all-terrain, all-season tire for pickup trucks, SUVs and crossovers. It is built for drivers who want off-pavement capability and durable construction. It also gives confident traction in changing weather. It is the upgraded successor to the Encounter AT line. Some sizes in the line also suit light commercial vans.

Key Features:

• Non-directional 4-rib tread design: helps ride stability, improves mud and snow performance, and resists irregular wear.
• Deep circumferential grooves: move water away from the contact patch to boost wet grip and support long tread life.
• 3D wave sipes: add biting edges for traction on snow, mud and soft surfaces.
• Variable-width shoulder lugs: eject rocks, sand and debris for off-road grip.
• Tuned tread pattern: supports steering response and stable handling, with a quieter on-road ride.
• Reinforced construction: a two-ply polyester casing sits under two wide steel belts. A jointless polyamide reinforcement adds support and stability.
• Severe snow service rated: carries the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol and the M+S marking.
• Treadwear warranty: Sumitomo backs the line with a 65,000-mile treadwear warranty on both metric and LT sizes. Exact coverage is set by the manufacturer's warranty terms.

The Encounter AT2 balances rugged all-terrain durability with comfortable, all-season drivability. It is a practical choice for daily driving, work use and weekend trail trips.
