Nexen Winguard Ice Studless Winter Tire

The Nexen Winguard Ice is a Nordic-type studless winter tire (also called a snow tire or ice tire). It is built for traction, braking and handling on ice, snow and cold, wet roads, and it doesn't need studs.

Key Features:

• Nordic compound: The compound is formulated to stay flexible in cold temperatures and to improve winter and wet performance.
• Ice braking design: The tread is designed for maximum contact area and an optimized load distribution. This is meant to improve braking confidence on ice.
• V-shaped tread pattern: The pattern improves handling stability in winter conditions.
• Saw-tooth blocks and step-edge grooves: The saw-tooth blocks use the edge effect to bite into snow and ice. The step edges inside the wave-shaped grooves add more winter traction.
• Micro sipes: These give immediate winter response.
• High-density hydrophilic filler: The filler helps maintain friction on wet and snowy pavement.
• 3D kerfs: They stiffen the tread blocks to help shorten braking distances and sharpen handling.
• Ice Grip mark: The tire earned the Ice Grip mark through winter performance testing. Its sidewall carries design elements inspired by snow and ice.

The Winguard Ice gives drivers in snowy, icy climates a studless option for confident winter control. Remove it when seasonal temperatures return to consistently warm conditions.
