Continental WinterContact S Winter Tire

The Continental WinterContact TS860 S is a performance winter tire (also called a studless snow tire) for passenger cars, crossovers and sporty vehicles. It is built for drivers who want strong grip on snow and ice and sharp, responsive handling on cold dry and wet roads.

Key Features:

• Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) rated: certified for severe snow service.
• Snow traction: traction sipes and snow grooves interlock with snow for better grip.
• Winter braking: stiff rib-and-block tread elements are designed to shorten braking distances on snowy and icy roads.
• Cold-weather compound: a flexible tread compound stays pliable at low temperatures for consistent traction.
• Dry handling: an asymmetrical tread pattern with large outer shoulder blocks improves steering response and cornering stability.
• Fuel efficiency: a low rolling resistance design helps reduce fuel consumption.

Continental recommends removing winter tires when temperatures stay consistently above about 45°F. Fit them on all four wheel positions for balanced winter performance.
