Metzeler Sportec Rear Motorcycle Tire

The Metzeler Sportec rear motorcycle tire is a supersport street tire for riders who want sharp handling, strong grip and confident control on both dry and wet roads. It is a rear sport tire for spirited street riding. It can also handle the occasional trackday.

Key Features:

• Dynatread™ adaptive tread technology: the tread sipes flex and deform with load. At higher speeds and loads they close up to put more rubber on the road. Under lighter loads they open to disperse water.
• Wet-weather capability: developed to give supersport-level feel on wet roads.
• Rear tire construction: a 0° steel belt over a single rayon ply is designed to maximize the contact patch. It also supports the bike during acceleration, both in a straight line and on corner exit.
• Dual compound with high silica content: supports grip across a range of riding conditions.
• Matched tread pattern: the front and rear tires share the same tread pattern for balanced, predictable handling and consistent feedback under braking and acceleration.
• High-contrast sidewall design: a distinctive look that includes the "Blade" mark, the visual signature of Dynatread™.
• Tubeless radial design with a W speed rating.

Metzeler's Sportec 01 is the successor to the Sportec M9 RR. It suits riders who want supersport performance for daily riding, weekend rides and the occasional track session.
