Metzeler Karoo Tire

The Metzeler Karoo adventure and dual sport motorcycle tire line is built for riders who want strong off-road traction without giving up road manners. The Karoo 4 replaces the Karoo 3. It is aimed at adventure bikes and maxi enduro machines, and sits between the street-focused Karoo Street and the off-road-focused Karoo Extreme. It uses a 50/50 on-road/off-road design.

Key Features:

• Big-block tread pattern: scoop-shaped blocks dig into soft surfaces such as sand, mud and clay. The wide gaps between blocks help the tread clear itself.
• Multi-pitch knob layout: a patented layout that cuts tire noise and improves rolling smoothness on pavement.
• DYMATEC technology: variable groove wall angles help keep tread resistance and wear uniform over the life of the tire.
• Wet-weather handling: the tread is designed to improve grip and stability on wet roads, including when leaned over.
• Rider-aid compatibility: the footprint is optimized to work with the ABS and traction control systems on modern adventure bikes.
• Radial construction: Interact technology uses multi-zone steel belt tension to support steering neutrality and wet performance.
• Carbon black compounds: the tread rubber resists abrasion and tearing for durability.
• Tubeless design (TL)

Metzeler Karoo tires are offered in front and rear versions, so you can match the tire to your wheel position. They suit riders who split their time between pavement and trails.
