Metzeler Karoo Extreme Tire

The Metzeler Karoo Extreme is a multi-purpose and rally-racing off-road motorcycle tire. It is built for traction and control on difficult terrain. It suits dual sport, adventure and off-road riders who want a dirt tire that can handle demanding conditions and hard-packed surfaces.

Key Features:

• Aggressive knob layout: The knob design and overall structure give strong traction on tough terrain. The vertical line of knobs works like a claw to dig into the ground.
• Wide block surface: The wide blocks give a broad contact patch, which helps grip on hard terrain.
• Dual-rubber compound: Natural rubber adds mechanical resistance. Synthetic rubber adds wear resistance and resistance to knob tearing.
• High carbon black content: This helps the tire resist stress, including at high temperatures.
• Flexible carcass: The structure stays flexible, which gives good puncture resistance at low pressures. It also supports braking stability and agile handling.
• Tubeless or tube use: Metzeler designs the tire for use with or without a tube. Check the specific tire for its construction.
• DOT approved for street-legal use.

Front and rear versions are available, each with a tread pattern suited to its role. Metzeler recommends replacing the valve stem, tube and/or rim strip when you install a new tire.
