American Axle & Manufacturing Series Universal Joint

American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) universal joints, also called U-joints or driveshaft u-joints, are replacement driveline components. They connect sections of a driveshaft and transmit torque while allowing for changes in driveline angle as the suspension moves.

Key Features:

• Designed to transfer rotational power smoothly between the transmission, driveshaft and axle
• Cross and bearing cap construction that allows the driveline to flex through its working angles
• Sealed bearing cap design to hold in lubrication and help keep out dirt and moisture
• Made by AAM, a major driveline and axle supplier to the automotive industry
• Offered in multiple series designations to suit different driveline applications

A worn universal joint can cause driveline vibration, clunking on takeoff or when shifting, and added wear on related driveline parts. Replacing it restores smooth power delivery and helps protect the rest of the drivetrain. Choose the series that matches your driveshaft's joint design.
