Firstco Uncased Evaporator Coil

The Firstco Uncased Evaporator Coil (USM series) is an indoor evaporator coil, also called a cooling coil or A-coil. It is built for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. It can be field installed into an air handler that has enough space for it. It works in vertical or horizontal orientations and in either cooling-only or heat pump systems.

Key Features:

• Copper tube and aluminum fin construction for efficient heat transfer
• Piston-type metering device for installation flexibility
• Coils are circuited for cooling-only or heat pump operation
• Sweat-type refrigerant connections
• 3/4" MPT primary and secondary condensate drain connections
• Factory-installed equalizer connection on the coil header, which makes it easier to add an expansion valve (TXV) kit in the field
• Coated drain pan for corrosion resistance
• Optional field-installed TXV kits are available separately

The uncased design lets installers fit the coil into an existing air handler cabinet. Firstco is a long-established HVAC manufacturer based in Dallas, Texas. Check the matching outdoor unit and any required expansion valve against the manufacturer's specifications for your system.
