The Johnson Controls Ball Valve Assembly Spring Return is a factory-matched motorized ball valve (also called an electric actuated ball valve). It pairs a VG1000 Series forged brass ball valve with a direct-coupled electric spring return actuator. It is built for HVAC and building automation water-loop control.

Key Features:

• Spring return fail-safe operation: the actuator returns the valve to its default position when power is lost.
• Characterized flow control: the VG1000 Series uses a characterized insert for equal percentage flow control, with Cv ratings in the range of traditional globe valves.
• Durable construction: forged brass body, stainless steel (or chrome-plated brass) ball, stainless steel (or nickel-plated brass) stem, EPDM o-ring stem seals and graphite reinforced PTFE seats.
• Direct-coupled electric actuator: the valve and actuator ship as one assembly, with no separate linkage to source.
• Versatile media handling: designed to control chilled water, hot water and 50% glycol. Stainless trim models can also control 15 psig steam.
• Threaded NPT connections for straightforward installation in hydronic piping.
